What do you have going? (writing-wise)
The stuff that isn't yet ready for the Writer's Workshop: a short story? a novel? how long have you been working on it [them]? what is it/are they about?
I would say something myself, but I don't have anything to add. Aside from my poncey little journal, I'm worn out on writing.. for the next few days, at least.
I've got a novel a little less than halfway finished.
I've got eleven short stories that are out and trying to find publications to snuggle up in.
I've got about four hundred finished poems, maybe sixty of which I'm confident in and even like myself, but I haven't submitted any of them for some reason.
I'm doing research for mine. Lots of spider diagrams.
Too busy living to write.
Too busy doing nothing to write.

What are you researching for? Novel? Short story? Screenplay? Marzipan voodoo effigy?

But apparently not too busy to write that you're too busy to write?

Wow. This little thread got CRAZY. People telling me to abuse my girlfriend, people showing an alarming lack of respect for women as a whole, people questioning my masculinity in some kind of bizarre machoistic pissing-contest. Hell, I even got called stuffy.
8.5 hours a day in front of this computer here. Working and pretending to work. Impossible to write anything longer than a chili recipe. Far too busy when I'm not at work to sit undisturbed and write write.
Do you really need this explained?
i think, proto being who he is, that he means this is an idea foreign to him.

Jealousy? I call it boredom.
Boredom? I call it jealousy. And by jealousy, I mean that I'm going to have sex with you.
Researching for an essay on Dashiell Hammett's works.

ever since my sophomore year of high school i have been researching one idea for a script. then about every four months i will start writing, give up and toss it, then go back to research until i think i'm finally ready, then the vicious cycle continues.
A thousand ideas and no motivation.
hey, i guess that's cooler than having ideas and actually writing about them.

Tuffy- I was curious about whether this was an actual statement or if it was some kind of condescension. It's really hard to tell with you.
Man, this thread is in the dead zone now. I'm ashamed.

yes, i have many poems and writing for a novel. not for nothing, i try out phrases on this forum. sure i am not alone in that.
