Photo Series Inspired by Invisible Monsters
Hey everyone, this is my first post on the site but I hope it will be a memorable one. I am a photography major at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and am currently in my Senior year of college. I have recently finished a short photographic series inspired by Invisible Monsters and it's narrator Shannon McFarland. I would love some feedback from those who have read the novel and can appreciate it at a deeper level.

Any feedback would be appreciated, but try to keep it constructive

I definitely understand where youre coming from. This was meant to be more of a mock fashion shoot as if the character were to still be modeling post-accident.
Pittsburghers coming out of the woodwork this month...
This is why we can't have nice things.
I think the picture with ithe sunglesses is great. That being said... Do you think that the character would have modelled after her "accident"?
“Now remember my three beginner’s tips for picking up chicks: Address her by name, isolate her from her friends, subtly put her down.”
Its a girl with a scarf. Thats it. A girl with a scarf.
What more do you want?
I like the third and last one the best. The third one is pretty spectacular and looks like a professional shot. The composition in the last one is really good too but the model seems a little too stiff. I think the model (I hope I'm not insulting a friend of yours!) is the problem with the shots, she doesn't communicate anything dynamic.
It's most evocative of IM for me when she's holding the scarf to her face. I know Shannon didn't run holding a scarf up all the time, but to me the intention of hiding her face is conveyed by holding the scarf.
I liked your set a lot and I hope you got an excellent grade.

They look good but I was expecting it to be about more images from the book than just the veil. What about the birds or frozen turkey or falling postcards or medicine cabinets?
