ppl should put reasons.
i love tyler b/c he's so reckless and free of so many things. course he's also a hallucination but whatev. i also love the way brad pitt does his laugh. and yes i consider tyler separately from brad pitt, although the fact that BP brought him to life doesn't hurt on the sexiness front.

"jack" b/c he was left out of the loop, yet he thought he was a part of it all... they do say "ignorance is bliss"
interesting, trypdwyre. i often thought of jack as the closest thing to a self-portrait by chuck...

innocent yet full of it?
no more like he thinks he has control but really his own imagined world and characters take off without him.

there's that too...
My favorite these days is Mona. There's a quality of her that's innocent and yet determined, focused and yet carefree.
And, based on her description in the book, she is a deadringer for my partner. Plus, when she says "Do not embaress me in front of my coven," I think it's one of the two funniest moments in Chuck's work.
That is all. Hail Hail the Kat!
of course, Tyler. (me 2 Kitty. i'll even let you go first )

i loved Brandy 2. although she'd probably be the scariest bitch i'd ever meet in the real world.

ok, kitty to appease you-- Denny- because he is so charming, and suffers so much, but never complains or bitches-- he is the honest martyr- and just so sincere. whats not to love about him? who wouldnt want a best friend like Denny?

victor's mother.
brandy alexander is a wonderful character, you grow to love her more and more as the book progresses.
The first time you meet someone special, you can count on them one day being dead and in the ground.
Besides I want to bum fuck E.Norton for wha the did to me in Fight Club, I choose Tender Branson.

it was toss up for me between jack and marla

definately either jack or victor while he was at the nursing home
Shannon.
I think she's the one most like me, and I'm kind of narcisistic that way.
debacle is a verb
I don't think jack was out of control at all. I think that without him even realizing it, he was in total control. Think of the Robert Paulson bit. He was trying to tell off the space monkeys and it became a rallying chant.
It's hard for me to say who my favorite Chuck character is. I think my favorite character is probably....Chuck. Everytime one of his narrators says "we live in a world where..." or "everyone likes to think...", etc, it's the author talking. Honestly, I read Palahniuk's books more to hear his cynical thoughts and humor than for the plot and characters. They're almost secondary for me.

I would like to make my real nomination now, in the form of Mister Raymond K.K.K.K.K.K. Hessel. He's my favorite.
He's, probably, the one in all the books I relate to most.
I think it was Oscar Wilde who said, "We're all born Raymond K. Hessel. Only some of us are looking up to the Tyler."
which reminds me will, that's the only thing that bothered me about fight club, you never found out it he became a veterinarian or not.
trypdwyre, you so funny.

I'd have to say Shannon. She knew what she needed to do to make herself better, even if it meant losing everything she had. This is very FC philosophy but is almost better illustrated in IM.
Part of me wanted to say Tyler but if I'm to be honest with myself I know it's only because Brad Pitt is so hot.
There is hope, but not for us.
i think tyler, even apart from brad pitt, is hot.

I m more of into the narrator character in FC.
Yeah, I know you're right kitty, but still, I felt that if I put tyler it would be for the wrong reason. I love Tyler regardless though. But I relate a lot more to Shannon. She's so quiet on the outside and has so much rage on the inside. And she's trying to hit bottom; in fact I think she pretty well does.
There is hope, but not for us.
my favorite character has to be Bob, big bob with bitch tits.
Vandalism: as beautiful as a rock in a cop's face.
Tyler occured to me, than "Jack", but first Denny. I would say either Denny or the Narrator in FC. I really liked Denny mainly because of how he turned his whole life around and his new philosophy. I loved the building he was doing. So yea Denny, definitely, besides he seems to be a crowd favorite.

Denny!
