Chuck inspired song
Hello all,
Back in January I quit my band because I didn't have time anymore, and I decided I would rather have a family then be a rock star. We were kinda getting big in the area, so we got some studio time and recorded an 8 song cd. It was fun.
Anyway, to the point, one of the songs was named "Insomnia." I was so inspired by Chuck's work that I wanted to write a song about one (or many but only got around to one) of his books. Kinda like Metallica's One based on Johny got his gun.
The style of the band is kinda like Pantera or Godsmack or Killswitch Engadge.
Anyway, here it is for who ever cares to listen.

Also, if there are any other musicians who have Chuck inspired songs in the cult, please share.
Not as big a hit as I would have hoped.
The thread, not the song.
You gotta give it time dude. Also I looked at this thread's title and automatically assumed it was another thread about Panic. Maybe you should change it to "My Chuck Inspired Song".
Done and done!
Wait... how would one do such a thing.
I can't listen to it while I'm stuck at work. I saw this thread last night and wanted to check it out when I got home, but I forgot.
In the morning, perhaps.
No one has the right to teach us stuff we don't want to learn. That's what our Bill of Constitution's all about.

Well, you could have changed the title of the thread by clicking on it while viewing all the threads. Now you'd have to have a moderator do it.
Yeah, I heard that song "The Only Difference Between Martyrdom and Suicide Is Press Coverage" on the radio while back and asked someone what it's name was.
When they told me "The only................................press coverage", I was like what the fuck? That doesn't even make any sense. So, then I just looked it up, but the book seemed really boring so I didn't read it until a few months later.....
ANYWAY, I never really listen to that kind of music.... ever.... I mean those bands you named - Pantera, Godsmack or Killswitch Engadge..... never even heard of them, but the song isn't bad! I kinda liked it, especially the guitar solo. I also liked the part about 1:15 in when you talk.... yeah that was cool.
But I'm afraid that your band may be just a bit too badass for me, but (if you ever even check this thread anymore) what was your band's name? Was it Perpetual Dementia? Cuz my player says that, just wondering....
Yeah, the band's name was Perpetual Dementia. And yeah, the guitar play was very good, but unfortunatly he knew it and was a giant cock. Plus I like a veriety in music, both writing and listening. The fact that they just wanted kick your teeth in rock all the time kinda got tiresome.
Anyway, thank you for the kind words. That was one of my favorites that we wrote.
Oh yeah, and I was the singer, just in case anyone was wondering.
And who else thinks that Panic at the Disco should post their whole CD here?
not me. they shouldnt post cds or ruin music at all.
Indeed. I didn't mean by that that I wanted to hear any of the CD, just that the whole thing would never have been made if there was no Chuck.

That's certainly true, but apparently talking about that band is very frowned apon, because er like some person put it, "Those emo assholes are an shame on music, and rip lines off from Chuck while only reading the back of the book!"
I dunno why, I mentioned that I had heard the song in one of my first posts and someone said something kinda rude back... whatever I don't particularly love them but some people here are just arrogant jerks that tear anyone apart that doesn't agree with them.
Anyway, don't listen to them. And it sucks that the guy was a jerk. I'd rather have a mediocre player that doesn't believe he's the *God of Music* then a egocentric douche even if he has good ideas, because ultimately, they only care about themselves not the group. I know about those as well.
The recording quality isnt great but the idea was. Im a guitarist who just starting recording and I must admit its not easy... good work.
