I wrote a four page letter to chuck this morning. I was just wondering whether anyone else here at the Cult had wrote to him, and whether they got a reply.
I sent a gift too- a little purse made out of a kangaroo scrotum. Yum..

I've been carrying round my letter, stampless in my bag. I don't know how many stamps to put on it to get to america before I turn 30.
I wrote chuck a letter and he responded (with a package too!) in about a month. But my boyfriend wrote him a letter a while ago and he still hasn't written back. He must respond in batches or something.
PS Chuck gave me the Helen Hoover Boyle award for outstanding penmanship. Jealous?

SnowWhite, re: stamps, one should do fine. I got a letter from Aberdeen the other day with only one stamp on it. It took about 10 days to get here. Also I send letters to a friend in Japan all the time with only 1 stamp. He gets them soon enough. I'm planning on writing him soon too, though I've got to decide how I'm going to word it. I'm actually getting nervous.
okay, that's good. I won't have to spend a lot of money then.
I better go find some stamps now.

anyway... ya thanks for having a way to contact Chuck. I wrote him a letter told him a bit about my self, and that i was unable to attend the confrence, and that I was having a hard time tracking down a copy of Harvest by Amy Hempel. Today I got a box. it contained one ChuckPalahniuk.net orange t-shirt, signed by the man himself. one copy of At the Gates of the Animal Kingdom by Amy Hempel, which cotained the story that I was looking for, also signed by the man. a nice letter typed and signed... a little thing of soap, a stuffed green bear holding a box and a ring, and a plush cell phone, and a santa hat. I understand everything except the bear, phone, and hat. but I am very happy to have it all. Thanks for having a place where genuis is truly recognized.[/i]
