which movie would you prefer....
Out of all the books Chuck has done, which do you think would be the most successful as a film (including Fight Club)?
Also, who do you think should star in the movie?
I think Survivor would be my choice, especially if it had Kevin Spacey in it....

survivor i think would be the best chance for success if it was advertised right (and people weren't to bothered with the whole plane thing). If however the 9-11 thing hit it hard then diary or lullaby would probably do well.
Fight Club and Survivor would be the best quality adaptations i think, and if done right (by someone like aronofsky) Choke could be a huge cult hit although never mainstream, and could be as great as the fight club or survivor movies.
I think what most of you think: Either Choke or Survivor. I think that Survivor would be way more of a quirky comedy than both Choke and Fight Club. A thought crossed my mind of Ben Stiller playing the key role in Survivor...i dont really know about who to play Fertility, though. In other threads, we discussed who would be goood for Victor and Denny and i thought that the ideas for Johnny Depp as Victor and Jason Lee as Denny. Also, MAYYYYBE if Brad Pitt lost some weight, he could play denny too. But sometimes i think he may just have a little bit too tough for the part.

Well Lullaby and Survivor would be cool. But with lullaby it would be alot of mystical stuff so it would be hard to make i would not like to see some fake floating and how would they do the culling song? Would the words wrap around the persons neck... Well anyway thats me just talking.

i agree. cult hit if done right.
imo, diary would be easiest to adapt to film. survivor would make a great movie with the right actors, but someone needs to fork over a lot of clams to do it justice. i'd love to see invisible monsters made into a movie (or even the proposed cartoon) with the right direction (neil jordan? greg araki?)

I think Edward Norton is perfect for Chuck's style, and he would be awesome if Choke was made into a movie.

I would drop dead on the floor if I saw Robin Williams apart of any of Chuck Palahniuk movie. Sure, One Hour Photo was alright, but I can't shake how annoying he was in . . . let me think. . . everything else he's been in! If it were up to me, I'd make Fred Durst the star of every Palahniuk adaptation. Just kidding. I hate him even more. Just have Paul Giamatti play Carl Streator. Why him? Your guess is as good as mine. Then have Maynard James Keenan of Tool play Tender Branson, since he is terribly ugly like Tender supposedly is. Have David Fincher direct any Palahniuk adaptation.

I think that Choke and Survivor would both make great films, but Lullaby and Diary are probably best suited for adaptation. I'd love to see some fat actress (or an actress who'd be willing to put on the wieght) pull a Tom Hanks and shed all those pounds on screen. That would be worth watching.
