We are the all singing, all dancing crap of the world. Literally.
Goddamnt, they might be turning Fight Club into a fucking musical:
'Fight Club' The Musical?
This is such a bizarre notion, but David Fincher, director of the critically-acclaimed adaptation of Fight Club (Chuck Palahniuk) said that he'd like to create a Fight Club musical for it's 10th anniversary. That's right: Tyler Durden dancing. And singing. Would it even possible to turn the fractured tale into a stage production?
Many thanks to Cinematical for posting the story. According to a recent interview with David Fincher, MTV reports that Fincher is indeed interested in adapting the story for the stage.
I'm not sure what to think. I'm not a fan of Palahniuk anymore, but Fincher's adaptation of that novel is outstanding. It's not very often that a director can actually recreate the style of prose that an author uses in his novel, but the stacatto dialog and interaction is dead-on.
But as a musical? I don't see it. At all. I think Tyler Durden, as a character, would be opposed to the idea of a musical, anyway.
Do you want to see Fight Club as a musical?

chuck's been talking about this for years. he's pretty excited about it. i can imagine, now that it's [probably] going to happen, he's excited as hell's bells.
i dont know if it would be really MY thing, but hell yeah id watch it once. at least. depends on how entertaining it would be. and also how dark as fuck fincher decides to keep it haha
