So, I probably shouldn't say that I can understand where the guy is coming from in the one interview that I read a few posts above, right? I think his problem is with Mr.P's choice of everyday, if odd, fairly uneducated characters and the first person perspective that he writes most (or all, I haven't read all of them yet, so I don't know) of his books in. First person is a difficult medium for people with very little empathy or ability to set aside one's own ego and take up a new perspective.

I don't agree with him, but I understand what he's saying. He can't relate. Too bad for him.
