Hi,

I just discovered Chuck in Barnes and Noble last month. I stopped eating during my lunchbreaks at work so I could go to the bookstore and continue reading Choke.

I am now reading Survivor and am blown away yet again with his genius.

I am so glad that I discovered this website, and found out I am not the only one who thinks this way.

Thanks.

You make it sound like Chuck was hiding, peeking around a stack of books to see if anyone saw him!

Welcome. He is a fresh voice in a sea of regurgitation. Glad to see you started with those two books, they are my favorite. When you are done with ALL of his work, go to www.welcometothevelvet.com and check out those guys, especially Craig Clevenger and Will Christopher Baer.

Rant just came out too, so it should be on sale at all bookstores.

Thanks for the kind words, and who knows maybe some day I will find him hiding behind a stack of books somewhere.

You should carry a trapping net around with you for the rest of your life. That way if you ever do see him, you can capture him and torture Rant answers out of him.

Welcome to the Cult. Your post made me think of Christopher Columbus - having discovered the place where the people already live from day to day. Wink

Hope you enjoy your time here. There's lots to read and the recommendation list is very helpful for other authors that you'll also likely enjoy.

my first was survivor, then invisible monsters and fight club, then the rest in a quick dart of pleasing. had to wait for diary to release, and then nonfiction, fug and refs and haunted and rant

the next one, snuff, looks crazy

i plowed through his library too quickly but what was great about that was i found through this site many other great authors
bret easton ellis, craig clevenger, will baer, cormac mccarthy.. the list goes on
welcome to a more fuller reading life. if youre looking for more badass authors, there's no better place to find about them than at a writer's cult
