Someone has to know this. What book is it in which the idea of the people behind the voices of sitcom laugh tracks are dead? I want to say Survivor. Which means it's probably not Survivor.

It is Lullaby.
"Most of the laugh tracks on television were recorded in the early 1950’s. These days, most of the people you hear laughing are dead."

You guys are quick. Thanks. I needed it because I think I might've maybe caught an almost, possible Palahniuk reference in The Simpsons on Sunday. Anyone else catch it?

I blogged about it here: http://www.calebjross.com/2011/01/david-mamet-get-bleeped-on-the-simpson...
