Found an odd Chuck recording. Is it real or a fraud?
I found this [URL=http://www.matt-sanchez.com/2007/04/from_reader_to_.html]weird sounding interview[/URL] on a political web site from a guy who says he interviewed Chuck. But it doesn't sound like an actual interview. It sounds like the "interviewer" added his own voice to a pre-recorded podcast.

The recording begins with Chuck reading an exerpt from Lullaby, then he goes on to talk about the writing process, etc. Does this sound familiar to anyone.

The guy who faked this interview is a conservative pundit who writes for a bunch of rightwing magazines. His name is Matt Sanchez.
i still want to hear the rest of chuck's words on writing..

It doesn't sound fake, just poorly edited, as if this was part of an interview pool with several writers who could go back and put their own pieces together after the fact. Some of the audio has a really machiney quality to it, like it's synthesized by a computer, but I've heard plenty of interviews put together this way before. It helps keep the focus on the answers and not the questions...

I'd like to hear what Chuck really had to say too. I googled some of his comments to see if I could find a transcript of the original unedited recording, but no luck. Does anyone out their recognize this recording? Maybe that would help us track down the unedited original.

Apparently, he really is a con man. Matt Sanchez is a male prostitute who also did gay porn using the name Rod Majors. He was recently investigated by the military for trying to scam some people out of $12,000. But now he's in the military (?) :confused: and he's a talking head for Fox News and he sometimes writes for conservative magazines like The Weekly Standard.
