European 'Rant' Tour Dates
Hey guys,
I've been on Chuck and his Agent about this for months now. But it's been tough to get a straight answer, as I don't think either of them knew for sure where Chuck would be touring overseas yet. I know he's in Italy right now, as I type this, but I think it's only for vacation. I can tell you though that as of now, he is not touring the UK. Here were the quick details he gave me last week about what he does know about his overseas tour:
First week of Sept. , books festival in Mantova, Italy. -- actual event details to come
Sept. 9 -- evening event in Berlin, Germany
Sept. 10 -- evening event in Hamburg
Sept. 11 -- evening event in Vienna/Austria
Sept. 12 -- evening event in Munich
More details to come soon.

Thanks Dennis, It all depends on flights but I might be able to make one of the German ones.
Oh, that's a bummer that there are no UK plans... Hopefully that will change. I wasn't able to get to the last one, so my wife went and got a couple of books signed and dedicated for me, and she said he was really nice. I want my chance to say hey, too, and thank him for my box o' goodies, y'know.

Just wondering, any reason this isn't in the news on the homepage? Just noticed it in 'recently posted'.

I asked the Crossing Border people what we can expect from Chuck's appearance there and here's what they replied:
Dear Fred,
Chuck palahniuk is being interviewed by Leon Verdonschot. We expect him to read parts of his new novel also.
Maybe he will sign, but our bookstore make these arrangement in the last week, so I can't inform you about this
Vriendelijke groet/ kind regards,
Eline Driest
If some of you have more info, please share!

Is it true that we have to pay tickets to see him? I checked out the CrossingBorder site but they only list full day tickets.
By the way, hey alles goed?
shit!why dont he want to go to ukraine!there are a lots of fans of his talant here!
I don't think it's a matter of where he wants to go as it is where the publisher sends him.
He is going to be at the edinburgh book festival on 16th of August. Just got tickets. Both Tom Waits and Chuck Palahniuk doing dates in scotland instead of england - magic!
