Contact to Mr. Palahniuk
Hi forum,
is it possible to contact Mr. Palahniuk ?
Subject is a possible radio drama regarding his novel "Diary".
Perhaps Mr. Palahniuk would be kind enough to let a private
person have a reply.
Kind regards
Olaf Eggert, Germany
just a few thoughts
if youre on the internet, you can find virtually anything
i googled "chuck palahniuk's agent" and got this, chuck's wikipedia page, here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chuck_Palahniuk
and from that, i got to his agent's wiki page, here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_Hibbert
i'd likely send an official letter to his agent asking to be forwarded to chuck. if there are a lot of people attached to the project, i'd have everyone sign the bottom of the letter. or add something that stands out.

play hard, like it's work to be done.
I love Diary. Would love to hear a radio drama. Yes contact Chuck's agent.
“The scientists of today think deeply instead of clearly. One must be sane to think clearly, but one can think deeply and be quite insane.” -- Nikola Tesla
You know, despite a lot of people not liking Diary, it's one of my favourites of his. I'd put it before Lullaby, definitely.
Hi,
perhaps I should tell a little on the reasons that make me trying to contact Mr.
Chuck Palahniuk and his literary agen Edward Hibbert, respectively.
I am a strictly private person, 56, German nationality, currently work as a
database administrator in Switzerland and want to create a small radio drama label.
My first production will be a SciFi drama, German title "Das Mirror Protokoll";
the English title might be "Final Judgement Diary". This product, whenn it will be
ready, will be sold via internet. It will not make me rich, but it will be that
what I always wanted to do. This production, however, will be very expensive.
So, I would like to start with a production, may be a psycho thriller, that does
not cost that much money. "Diary" of C.Palahniuk might be appropriate for this. For
this reason I should like to ask him whether he is willing to grant me the right
to make a radio drama of "Diary" and how much I would have to pay for this right.
Please take into account that I am not a native English speaker. I hope that there
will be no misunderstanding on what I wrote here.
Kind regards

A splendid idea. Your English is fine.

Luck to you.
This is why we can't have nice things.
It is a shame he doesn't come here. He seems like a really great guy. I would love to have a beer or a glass of wine and just hang out with him. I came here in the first place because after reading up on him and reading some interviews, I thought he would be a really good friend.
Mom's gonna fix it all soon.
Mr. Hibbert?
This is why we can't have nice things.
Mr. Edward Hibbert is reported to be Mr. Palahniuk's literary agent. I'll try to
call him as soon as I return home this evening. Germany is 5 hours later. In the
meantime I already contacted Mrs. Belinda Wright in London. She was so kind to let
me have Mr. Hibbert's phone number.
Whether Mr. Palahniuk takes part in this forum or not, it is his decision.
I quite simply should like to ask a question and hope for a positive reply.
Kind regards

Good luck!
And if you are able to go through with this project - post up a link so we can hear it!
Yes, How did the call go? Is it going ahead?
"I hope you realise the story you're telling yourself, because every day you die for it."
Hi,
it is difficult to say whether things are going ahead or not. On Friday the week
before I succeeded to contact Mr. Edward Hibber. He was so kind to let me have
a reply and told me that he would discuss this matter with his co-agent. Now
about 3 days have passed. I think it will be normal to wait some week and wait
for Mr. Hibbert's reply.

I love how the Germans are so formal! It's beautiful!
Hi Hattie,
maybe that Germans tend to be formal. My wife says that I do !
We are a very small group of private persons who want to found a radio drama label.
Of course, we want to act exactly the way to comply with legal rules. Every other
way to handle this matter could cause disastrous results. We hope for a positive
reply from Mr. Palahniuk and Mr. Hibbert, respectively. If yes, we'll make the
novel "Diary" a radio drama. If not, ... !
You live in London, don't you ? Are you a writer ?
Kind regards

I work with a number of Germans day-to-day, and their efficiency and formality is charming.
I feel self-conscious calling myself a writer, but yes, I had a brief stint as a journalist and am currently penning my first screenplay, so I suppose I am.

Hi all!
I was just wondering if anyone still is up to date on this forum, or has the chat died out... I hope not.
I am trying to get in touch with Chuck Palahniuk as well, I am a 22 year old college student graduating this semester with a B.S. in English. My final class that I am required to take, Capstone in English: The Art of the Biography, has assigned a 50 pg. D.L.B. (Dictionary of Literary Biography) style Biography and I chose Chuck as my author.
I understand he is not receiving fan-mail but I have e-mailed Edward Hibbert with a somewhat formal proposal and tried to e-mail the same proposal in a message to the founder of the website. However, now my mail shows no sent messages.
does anybody else have the same issues with the message system (private messages)
If you could respond I'd really appreciate it!

Hi forum,
in the meantime I had to change my mind. I read "Diary" and I am not fond of it
anymore. From my point of view it's a bore and I'll not try once more to get into
contact with Mr. Palaniouk. Sorry.
Kind regards

Hahaha.
Hilarious.

Don't worry, be happy !

You might want to try contacting his agent. He really doesn't come here.
