So after he reinvented Horror -- now Sci-fi... Do you guys think he'll go and tackle Fantasy?... Imagine a Harry Potter/Chronicles of Narnia/ Lord of the Rings Chuck Palahniuk book... Or is that pushing it?

What on earth are Generes?

And Chuck can do what he wants, I don't care really. As long as he's writing enjoyable novels I'll buy 'em and list myself as a fan. I rue the day when I'll mention I like Chuck Palahniuk's early stuff.

naw, i dont think that's pushing it.. i think he even mentioned at one point during an interview or in one of his essays a while back that he loved the chronicles of narnia as a kid and he's always wanted to write a childrens book. excpet those stories always turn out way too dark, somehow. magically. based on his last interview--the one in writer's digest, i think--he hasnt finished one that will sell, not yet.

Me too, heheh. It sounds like the perfect college-morning read. I hope the cover's really garish. A big prosthetic cock would be hilarious.

I think Chuck's a genre in himself. Don't we have the word Palahniuk-esque somewhere around here?
its genre.
Thanks... Don't I feel like a moron --

And I guess he is in a category of his own.
Like he said he is using genres as a way of social commentry so he wont be standing on a soap box... yeah, you know the quote... But I wonder how he'd utilize Dragons, fairy's, and all that mythical situation to fit in fantsay in a "Palahniuk-esque" way...
