Yes, Virginia, There is a God-Damned Batman!

After a good, long run, we have decided to close our forums in an effort to refocus attention to other sections of the site. Fortunately for you all, we're living in a time where discussion of a favorite topic now has a lot of homes. So we encourage you all to bring your ravenous love for discussion to Chuck's official Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram. And, as always, you can still post comments on all News updates. Thank you for your loyalty and passion over the years. These changes will happen June 1.

If you could have one fictional character from anything, (literature, movies, music, advertising campaigns) have actually existed, who would it be? Or how do you think they would have affected world history because they really existed?

I'd like to think it would be cool if Batman were real. But if he was, I guess he'd have to have started Batmanning in 1938, and we'd all look at it is some quaint pre-war thing, like the War of the Worlds Panic or Lindbergh and the Spirit of St Louis. Only we'd think how for those 8-9 months in '38, that one crazy billionaire got dressed up in a silly costume to fight crime before he was shot in the head and killed.

Maybe he was killed at the end of October and that's now the reason kids dress up in funny costumes for Halloween nowadays.

Also, I think it'd be a little frightening if Superman was a real person.

Anyways, I'll try to think up a real answer. I just came up with the thread title and wanted to post this before I forgot it.
