Writers Career

After a good, long run, we have decided to close our forums in an effort to refocus attention to other sections of the site. Fortunately for you all, we're living in a time where discussion of a favorite topic now has a lot of homes. So we encourage you all to bring your ravenous love for discussion to Chuck's official Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram. And, as always, you can still post comments on all News updates. Thank you for your loyalty and passion over the years. These changes will happen June 1.

I am in 9th grade and i am doing a project in my class about careers. I chose being a writer, mainly fictional novels. If I do persue this career I am going to get my bachelors degree, my teacher said probably liberal arts, does anyone object to this, if so, give me some ideas. One more thing, my teacher pointed out that writers do not make much money, but I see it is if i enjoy it, i would do it for free. But in the real world, money is a need, so what are some other side jobs you would recommend if i was going to have a side job. I have heard about newspaper and magazine articles, but is there anything I have overlooked? Any other hints if i am going to become a writer? Thank you very much, please feel free to post anything you like, im sure it will be of good use. :D :D :D :D
