Whose Line Is It Anyway?

After a good, long run, we have decided to close our forums in an effort to refocus attention to other sections of the site. Fortunately for you all, we're living in a time where discussion of a favorite topic now has a lot of homes. So we encourage you all to bring your ravenous love for discussion to Chuck's official Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram. And, as always, you can still post comments on all News updates. Thank you for your loyalty and passion over the years. These changes will happen June 1.

I'm studying the first lines of some of my favorite books, and I had a fun idea! Tell me what book's these first lines are from. They are numbered, so just specify what number your are answering for.... this should be fun! After all of mine are answered, anyone else can post more challenges. I didn't take anything from any super-obscure books, rather semi-popular or classic. Don't cheat, or you will wake up with herpes (I'm really smart about computers, and this thread is designed to infect both your computer and your person with a powerful virus). Even if that isn't true, you'll feel bad! Okay, anyway, here's the list-

1. "Call me Jonah."

2. "People are afraid to merge on freeways in Los Angeles."

3. "It began as a mistake."

4. "Daphne loved speed."

5. "A squat grey building of only thirty-four stories."

6. "So I'm on my way to work and I stop to watch a pigeon fight a rat in the snow, and some fuckhead tries to mug me!"

7. "I first met Dean not long after my wife and I split up."

8. "If you're going to read this, don't bother."

That should do it for now, good luck my friends!
