Rutger Hauer

After a good, long run, we have decided to close our forums in an effort to refocus attention to other sections of the site. Fortunately for you all, we're living in a time where discussion of a favorite topic now has a lot of homes. So we encourage you all to bring your ravenous love for discussion to Chuck's official Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram. And, as always, you can still post comments on all News updates. Thank you for your loyalty and passion over the years. These changes will happen June 1.

I'm sure he's got an appreciation thread on here somewhere, but what the hell, he's awesome enough to get a new thread.

I just saw the trailer for his new film The Future, in the movies thread and it looks pretty good.
I'm glad he hasn't gone the "Expendables 4" route. I hope he doesn't, because he is better then that. Not that the Expendable movies are worthless, they have their little niche, it's just that I think of Hauer as an actual good actor and not some old action star.

If you haven't seen it, I'd recommend The Mill and The Cross.

The dialogue in that trailer is literally, like, 90% of the dialogue that's in the film. It's almost a silent movie.
But it's the closest anyone is ever going to get to bringing a great painting to life.

I've got Hobo With a Shotgun, but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Every time I'm about ready to, 3 other movies will pop up I want to see.

Anyways, what's your favorite Rutger Hauer stuff?
Appreciate him, dammit!
