Anyone seen this? I watched it last night and it was amazing.

I got it cheap off amazon after watching some docu with Tarantino talking about how he met Lawrence Bender after seeing 'Intruder', made in 1989, and described it as a 'Coen Brothers slasher film'. That description sold me on it. I don't know if I'd say it was much like a Coen Bros film, but I see what he meant. It was intellegent, very indy, but remained a slasher film. It's trying to be serious, but at the same time, it realizes its a cheap slasher film, and it works perfectly this way. The effects and fight scenes are over the top, but not so blatantly that it ceases to be funny, like it walks the line between stupid and effective. The splatter effects are hilarious...gore that's so in your face you can't help but laugh. I know many people get grossed out by such gore, but if you don't, you'll probably love this film. Highly recommended.

Oh yeah, and the dialogue was was hilarious and dramatic at the same time. It's almost like an MST3K movie that's actually really good. There are lines I rewound just to hear again.

Go watch it.
