Finding A New Job

After a good, long run, we have decided to close our forums in an effort to refocus attention to other sections of the site. Fortunately for you all, we're living in a time where discussion of a favorite topic now has a lot of homes. So we encourage you all to bring your ravenous love for discussion to Chuck's official Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram. And, as always, you can still post comments on all News updates. Thank you for your loyalty and passion over the years. These changes will happen June 1.

I've been looking for a new job for almost a month now because I hate my current job. I work at Pizza Hut and I make absolutely no money. I have gotten no leads. My (ex?) girlfriend suggested that I try to apply for Administrative Assitant type jobs. She said they are easy and they pay well. So I made a really good looking resume for that type of job (typing skills, computer skills, phone skills, etc...). I've sent out a shit load of resumes and I have gotten no responses.

I'm currently going to college to get my associates in Art and my bachelors in English. I want to get into advertising. That's the goal after I'm done with school.

Here are my questions:
- What type of jobs should I be applying to right now that are entry level and are more related to the field I want to get into?
- How do I go about doing that?
- Are there any other fields I might want to look into right now for the experience?
- Are there any resources that I should be checking out?

I've read the book What Color Is Your Parachute? I'm still pretty clueless about the whole job search thing. It's just that I'm trying to be mature this time and not quit my job before I find a new one.

Thanks in advance for any help that you guys can give me.
