An end to Bush

After a good, long run, we have decided to close our forums in an effort to refocus attention to other sections of the site. Fortunately for you all, we're living in a time where discussion of a favorite topic now has a lot of homes. So we encourage you all to bring your ravenous love for discussion to Chuck's official Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram. And, as always, you can still post comments on all News updates. Thank you for your loyalty and passion over the years. These changes will happen June 1.

The time is coming, and while the whole world is happy about Barak Obama, the taint of George W. Bush will hang over the United States and the world for a long time.

After so many years of obvious corruption, lies, mismanagement, and deceit from the current American government, I'm left wondering what will come of Bush after he leaves power. After he tumbles from top spot and no longer has his blanket. It hardly seems fair that he will go quietly into the background and enjoy all the benefits of being a former President.

I'm curious to hear what people think about this. I've read some articles that call for international criminal action to be brought against Bush. But, realistically I think it will never happen. the reason being that Americans never like to admit fault, and I'm sure even though the average American may detest Bush, they wouldn't allow themselves to undeniably proven wrong. Or who knows, maybe all the former collaborators will turn their backs on him and throw him to the wolves after he is no more use to their scheming.

It would set a very good example if the United States shows some responsibility and demands justice. Because really, for all that has happened in the past 8 years, there has been very little accountability, apart from media criticism and perhaps some small level of economic objection.

What do you think? Should Bush just be shunned and sent back to Texas to clear brush and collect his IOUs, or should he be held to scrutiny?
