any info on the fight club-unabomber resemblance?

After a good, long run, we have decided to close our forums in an effort to refocus attention to other sections of the site. Fortunately for you all, we're living in a time where discussion of a favorite topic now has a lot of homes. So we encourage you all to bring your ravenous love for discussion to Chuck's official Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram. And, as always, you can still post comments on all News updates. Thank you for your loyalty and passion over the years. These changes will happen June 1.

I had been reading the unabombers manifesto in a sheer act of desperation and boredom. While I watched fight club for the 14th time last week, it struck me that I understand Tyler Durden better now. The unibomber manifesto perfectly fills the philosophical holes that were in the movie and made a lot of people discard it as simple random violence. I did read the book a few years ago but do not really remember any more blatant resemblances with the unabomber manifesto. "In the world I see - you are stalking elk through the damp canyon forests around the ruins of Rockefeller Center. You'll wear leather clothes that will last you the rest of your life. You'll climb the wrist-thick kudzu vines that wrap the Sears Tower. And when you look down, you'll see tiny figures pounding corn, laying strips of venison on the empty car pool lane of some abandoned superhighway. " I would really appreciate the answers :) I am planning to use this in a paper. -Did Chuck Palahniuk ever comment on this striking resemblance? -Has he ever expressed his thoughts on the unabomber manifesto or read it? Thx alot!! Ps. For those willing to read a bit... Sry for sucky gramar I'm from belgium ;)
