Brown Paper Packages Tied Up With String

Amusingly, we are expected to gift wrap things if asked to do so, during the "holiday season", and the wrap we have been given to use is plain brown paper with a choice of Red, Navy or green ribbon. Which seems like a deterrent as much as it seems like an annoyance.

Anyway, Thanksgiving is nearly over on my coast, and I expect it is about over in all the other areas. But I would still like to hear what you all are thankful for, whether you are American or cynical or mushy or silly or even drunk. Especially if you are Drunk.

I am thankful for the Cult, to begin with. It is not my number one thing I am thankful for, but I am thankful for it. For the people that make it what it is, and for the books I have read because of it and the books I read that lead me to it. For the people that I have bonded with that have changed me and for the good times I have had here when other good times and things were unavailable, and when good times were plenty and I could share them here, I am thankful for that too even more.

I am glad for the age I live in, and for the weirdness of it. I had no choice of when I would come in this world and I will likely have little choice when I leave, but I am glad that I am here during the time that I am here in the beginning of the age that I am here in where the limits of information are being pressed to their fullest to discover what they may become.

I am grateful for the food in my belly and the drink I may raise!

I am grateful for the feet I will walk on tomorrow and the smile I will feel upon my face when it occurs.

I am happy for the love I have made and the love I will make. I look forward so much to the love I will make. I am pleased for this life that is chaos and happy for these words I am typing.

And you?
