ChuckPalahniuk.net Needs An Assistant! (in the Bay Area)
The website needs an Assistant to help out with Merchandise. Yes, the we have a Store feature. It's not a big section and we don't make nearly enough to survive off, but it helps the site pay for server fees and whatnot, and it's a great way to promote Chuck's work. Problem is, it's a ton of work for just one person and presently, that person is Mirka Hodurova, my longtime partner on the site.
So this person we choose for this Assistant position would be working directly with Mirka out of her apartment in Oakland, CA.
Here is what we are looking for in this position:
- 1 person to be a merchandise assistant.
- This person must live in or around the Oakland, CA area and be able to drive to Mirka's apartment.
- This person will help out with folding shirts, organizing merchandise, doing Post Office runs, ordering supplies, packaging orders, and even filing orders with sites like Stamps.com and USPS.com's 'Click 'N Ship'.
- This person must be very organized and enthusiastic.
Other details:
- This is a non-paying job (for now). So you'd be doing this for your love of the website (you do love us, right??)
- You are not working for Chuck Palahniuk. Chuck has nothing to do with this position nor does he administer or work on the website himself.
- You'd also be added to our Staff page, so this position would help out if you were looking to enhance your resume in anyway.
- Mirka is notoriously generous too, so expect lots of free shirts, random books and a meal. (and beer if you are over 21!)
If you'd like to apply for this position, please send us a passionate, awesome, clever email to assistant@chuckpalahniuk.net telling us why you're the right person. We're looking to fulfill this position by early July sometime.

Must Watch: Chuck Palahniuk Video Of Los Angeles Tell-All Reading
Chuck Palahniuk's "Tell-All" Tour at Largo from Jordan Chesney on Vimeo.
This is one of the best videos put together for a Chuck's reading I've ever seen. I was at this event with guests and I really must say, they captured it well. Props to Jordon Chesney, who shot and edited this. The location was Largo at The Coronet Theater in Los Angeles. The date, May 18th. It was done in association with The Nervous Breakdown. Enjoy!
Order 'Tell-All' And Other Personally Inscribed Books From Chuck At St. Helens Book Shop
St. Helens Book Shop is now accepting online orders for Chuck Palahniuk's new novel Tell-All. Chuck will be stopping into their store to fulfill all personal requests from fans. But the cut-off date for this promotion is June 30th, so get your orders in asap!
Order Your Personally Inscribed Books Here!
Chuck has an arrangement with St. Helen's whereby they take custom orders on their website that allow fans to request a personal inscription with each book Chuck signs. Basically, if you are unable to see Chuck on tour, this is the BEST way to get a signed copy of your book, with even a personal message on it! St. Helens has a great track record and we've been working with them on this endeavor for over three years now.

The 25 Min 'Tell-All' Interview On The Ron & Fez Show With Chuck Palahniuk
This is easily one of the best interviews I've ever heard Chuck give. On April 31st, he was on the Ron & Fez Show, one of my favorite talk radio shows on Sirius XM Satellite radio. The interview lasted about 25 mins. Yes, you heard that right.
Enjoy!
Black Humor and Blow-Up Dolls -- Asylum.com Crashes a Chuck Palahniuk Reading
This is a great little video report from Chuck's New York City reading for Tell-All earlier this month. The reading was held by The Stranger at the Cooper Union hall. Asylum.com captures some classic moments from the event, interviews the fans, and even speaks to Chuck's agent and editor.
All in all, this is a very strong, succinct video feature that you should all check out.

'Tell-All' Poster Contest With An Awesome Prize Package!
Update: Random House is no longer accepting emails for free 'Tell-All' posters. They've already been deluged by requests and have sent out all the posters they had. Thank you for all for the interest. Now, once you get your posters in the mail, get out there and start hanging them up!
In order to continue to spread the word about Chuck's new novel Tell-All, Random House and The Cult are sponsoring a contest with a great prize.
THE PRIZE:
100 winners will receive a set of eight Palahniuk books.
Tell-All (hardcover)
Pygmy (paperback)
Snuff (paperback)
Rant (paperback)
Haunted (paperback)
Diary (paperback)
Lullaby (paperback)
Choke (paperback)
THE RULES:
To enter the contest, simply email Random House with your full name and mailing address. The first 200 people to email them will receive 5 Tell-All posters each (pictured above). It is then your job to hang the poster(s) up somewhere public and snap a picture of it. It's even better if you hang up multiple posters, but each person can only enter the contest once. If you can't find somewhere public, convince your local book store, library or even corner deli to let you hang the poster up. Just make sure you snap a picture of the poster hanging in this location.
You must then Tweet the picture to our Twitter account @chuckpalahniuk. Then email this same picture, along with your full name and mailing address, to Random House. The first 100 people to submit their pictures will win the set of 8 books. (and yes, your math is right: 800 books going to 100 people!)
WHAT NOT TO DO:
The rules may change halfway through, depending on the quantity of submissions we receive, but for now, your house or apartment does not count as 'somewhere public'. We want you canvasing your town/city and finding somewhere very loud and exposure-worthy to hang the poster. Just don't do anything illegal and do not put yourself in any sort of harm.
Also, do not just post the picture here, to our Facebook, or to our Twitter. You totally can, yes. But unless you actually email the picture to the Random House email address, your entry is not valid and will not qualify to win the prizes.
If you have any questions about this contest, post them here and we will try to answer them as quickly as possible.
Thanks, and good luck playing!
