Screenings of Choke have begun popping up. It's movie festival season, so I need you all to keep things under your radar, as you never know when Choke will end up in a city near you. Thanks to Patrick DiDomenico, we know that Choke will be screening at the BAM Festival (Brooklyn Academy of Music) on June 5th and June 7th.
The official theatrical release for Choke is August 1st, 2008.
This is the conclusion of the three part interview Chuck Palahniuk composed with porn legend Cassie Wright, star of Chuck's upcoming novel 'Snuff'!
Stay tuned for more though, as well as a whole slew of videos leading up to the release of 'Snuff' on May 20th!
Chuck has an awesome new article in the May 2008 issue of Maxim magazine. It's about his experiences on the set of the Choke production in New Jersey last summer.
Go pick up the issue now. There's also a great picture of Chuck inside, and some short write-ups about his books. (not to mention, it's got picture of Elisha Cuthbert in it...)
Props to Branden Palomo for alerting me to this one.
I unfortunately had to make that news title as blunt as possible. I just heard back from Chuck's Canadian publicist. And it turns out that Chuck will not be doing any tour dates in Canada for his Snuff.
Still no word on any European or Asian dates. Stay tuned though. I'm working on finding out.
PEN asked its members (which I assume Chuck is one) to submit photos of their private lifes. Check out the picture that Chuck submitted of his dog (Imp I believe), hanging out in his basement with some 'friends'.
I can only assume from this picture that Chuck has started preparing his tour gifts for Snuff. :)
This is Part 2 of a three part interview Chuck Palahniuk composed with porn legend Cassie Wright, star of Chuck's upcoming novel 'Snuff'!
Stay tuned for Part 3 soon, as well as a whole slew of videos leading up to the release of 'Snuff' on May 20th!

Will Tupper returns with one of his best interviews for The Cult yet. Author Shawna Kenney sits down to discuss her work in the California punk scene, her journey to writing, and her two books I Was A Teenage Dominatrix and Imposters.
East-coast punk with a pen turned west-coast punk with a tan (and then back again), Shawna’s story is the embodiment of Joseph Campbell’s prime directive. “Follow your bliss,” he said. And she most certainly has.
Updated With Phone Numbers & Signing Instructions!
I contacted Chuck's publicist this weekend about ticket info, and he got back to me with not only phone numbers (below) you should each call for event info, but also specific instructions on how the signing is going to work at each store. I'll begin with that.

It's April 1st! Spring is on the horizon. I've got some bad news though, folks. Chuck decided not to do an essay for this month. He's too busy working on the new book. I'll just stop right there. That was a horrible attempt at an April Fool's Day prank. Wow, I think I'm getting old or something. No worries, the essay is here.
Chuck has comitted to 1 year of these, so expect 9 more yet for 2008. Also remember that, for the first month they are posted, these essays are only available to Premium Members. Basic Members can view them one month later. So come April 1st, this new essay will be available to all, free, for one month only.
