is this gonna be an off-site thing, like usual? and if so, is it at the bagdad (where tickets are needed) or the unitarian church (where it's free)?
Do they let video equipment in for these?
the bagdad does not have proper security, so i don't think they would stop you, but i wouldn't bring anything too big to put in a backpack.
I just wanted to bring a Mono Pod and small video cam, but without any sort of tripod the video will be useless. I recorded the NY'09 reading that Amy Hempel was supposed to be in, but all the camera shaking, etc. Ruined it.
Hey guys,
Just updated the details for this event. Tickets are required! And yes, the event is offsite at the Baghdad Theater.
these ticketed affairs dont make the readings any less chaotic, which, i believe was their intention. i went to the last one there, and someone was drunk and yelling BURRITO at chuck throughout the evening. and the questions pointed, and more than once really not anyone's business. im surprised after that, that chuck agreed to do another one there at all.
the free ones at the unitarian church were actually tidier affairs.
Ya but Chuck Called out and put the Burrito guy in his place. Plus he gives away a copy of the book which really helps with the whole cost thing.
he did punk the burrito guy which was awesome... plus i got my inflatable elk at that one!
Plus you can get Burritos at a number of places on Hawthorne to quell the echolalic urge.
Though there is something intriguing about Chuck in a Church, Unitarian or otherwise.
I still have my moose head too. And i just dug the wedding dress i wore there out of the closet. Now I want a burrito.
Also just found out about this Livewire show with Chuck and Lidia Yuknavitch September 23rd on Alberta:

now that i'd like to see
Those shows are fun plus there is booze.
I loved loved loved Chuck's appearance in Portland this week. I cannot wait to read the book!
I was let down by his appearance to be honest. Compared to years past there was a lack of enthusiasm on his part. The Q and A disappointing it seemed like Lidia Yuknavitch did more speaking than he did. I have just come to expect more than was delivered.
Who is all here?
