there was no conan spot. tarantino ran over. they didnt let chuck on at all, to my memory..

p.s.- this is exciting. not a daly fan at all, but definitely a fan of chuck being on a talkshow yeah

he got on Conan. long enough to plug the book, but tarantino was pretty much in full General Jackassery mode the whole time, trying to keep the attention on him.

Setting up my DVR to record this tonight, I see that Carson Daly's show is actually just a 30 minute affair. Chuck is his only guest tonight! With some band, Never Shout Never to perform.
Looks promising.

Not a bad appearance at all. Looks like he interviewed him in a bar somewhere. No studio audience. Probably a solid 5-6 minutes of them talking just about his books. 15 X better than his Conan spot.
Also, San Francisco sucks. Chuck says so!

Daly mentioned his show is now on Hulu.com so I'd say look there sometime in the morning.

No luck on Hulu yet. I'll have to check back later. I really want to see this.

I liked it, too. Carson seems much less toolish than in his old days, and I love how they shoot the show on location on a DSLR. It's very stylized. Still, though, if you're an author, Craig Ferguson's the show you wanna go on. The man can actually hold down a literary conversation.

Craig Ferguson had a show on a couple months ago with him sitting down talking to Stephen Fry for an hour. Same type of deal, just the two of them no audience. He said he was experimenting with it to maybe do some more shows like that. Hope he does, it was a great show.

great cinematography on chucky p and though the interview is chopped more than i was hoping for, it is great press for the man and the cult and contemporary fiction in general.

Just watched this on my DVR, it was a great interview. I like the new style of Carson's show. And I've eaten at that restaurant!

Yeah, this was really good. Never been much of a fan of Carson, but this was a great little interview. I like the bar setting.
