halloween we trekked a trail, watched a med flight, and someone broke into our house

.
.

bright morning ~ a three hour hike ~ a motorcyclist collided with a deer ~ med flight saved a life ~ family stayed the night ~ a kid broke in, fell asleep in his boxers at my computer chair at five in the morning

.
.

aside from our wedding day oct. 10th, we experienced more this past halloween than we have on any other given day to memory.

first, this is a video of twenty three seconds of our morning:

this short short one is of the bridge we had to cross, roughly halfway to the falls:

and a few picts:

so we drove and floated last night. so much for boredom..

this is the story of how jen and i floated in her car last night, and how we got in that situation in the first place. (sadly, to admit, it had a little to do with boredom. and she was lit and i was devastatingly sober.)

***

as i'm sure many of our texas and louisiana friends could most likely immediately attest, there are rains and stormfronts in the south. central arkansas received eight inches last night alone. and some people are just really dumb..

found a writing job on craigslist - this is gross, by the way

.

deciding it may not be a bad idea to search everything available writing-wise on craigslist, i went to searching about. found something quite interesting. part time work, pays $325 a week. basically, you look at webpages and create a one page writeup assessing the individual webpages. simple enough, they are searching for effective writers for daytime internet work. i sent and inquiry.

Chuck's Review of Jonah

.

One of my stories went before Chuck's eyes and his feedback was like a two year degree from whatever college. It is amazing, the insight that can be gained from the attention of an author, particularly to a novice like myself. I guess, not entirely unlike the attention Chuck received from Spanbauer so many years ago. That advice certainly took him places. And they write nothing alike Smile Big

The idea to offer up thoughts on his thoughts occurred to me the day i read the review. I did aim to blog about it, but forgot. I do that a lot nowadays. Mark and Dennis made a big push for those interested by asking the Furious Five of Feb to splice-post their review, and this is a perfect opportunity to facilitate the desire I left in the trenches.
