My Life May Be Pointless, But Not Dull.
I got sick of my profile mocking me so I decided to do something about it. I'll write more later.
Hey, Sportsfans!
I started the Cult Sports Group, so if you're tired of getting yelled at by all of those non-athletic-event types when you bring up sports, come and join the group! It's open admission for now, but if we have a lot of people popping in to say how much they hate sports, things will become...more exclusive.

I am Sportscenter
Well, not anymore, not since I stopped my cable service. I miss that show so much. Anyway, this is my welcome post to those sports aficionados here - this is your place for the manly world of athletics. And the womanly world too. We've got an astounding Championship football weekend coming up, a basketball season full of surprises, MLB+HGH, Hockey in the great outdoors...so much to talk about, why not start now?
I've put categories in place for all of the major sports, and a Misc. category for anything you feel wasn't included. I'm flexible, if we get a lot of requests for, say, a dedicated NASCAR thread, or a golf thread, I'll kill myself. Or maybe I'll add the categories to the list. I'm fair and balanced.
Snuffy McDuffy, Top Floor, Closed Door, CIA, Washington, D.C.
The title is from an CIA document called, Cranks, Nuts, and Screwballs by David R. McLean. I have attached it but I am not sure if it will work.
My job is to hunt down documents, most are new, some are old and applicable, like one I found about interrogation from the spring of 1958. Then either I write a story or I edit someone else's story.
I enjoy writing and editing for a major news outlet. Everyday I have something new to do and when I leave, my work is done.
I have a membership in the Writer's Workshop but I have a hard time forcing myself to edit when sometimes that is all I do all day.
Time to work.
I Blog Myself Today, Not Like Yesterday...
I adore this "blog" thing that's happening here. I almost hope it replaces the forums (almost). Peoples' blog posts (not mine necissarily) are interesting; it's like all their other pointless forum wittering condensed into one easily readable and strangely amusing "post" "blog" whatever.
Anyway I've been wondering lately about highschool and that and I kind of want to know what sort of highschool experiences Culties've had and that. And the ones the young peoples such as myself are having now! This thread exists somewhere, but it's out of date I think and I can't find it anyways.
My Own Personal Brandy Alexander
I'm in need of one. My boyfriend of about 3 years had decided he possibly likes someone else. I’ve been crying about it since Monday (when this all happened.) today, I think it’s calmed down a bit for me. It’s awkward because we've been fake broken up for months now so I kinda feel like I have no right be all crying and angry at him. But I am. He said I could take time to see where I was and that he thought we were going to get married so he wasn’t that worried. And now 6 months later it’s not true. Plus, I’m quite possibly losing a best friend. We’ve been through a lot together and now that’s all getting thrown in the trash.
Today I came to the conclusion that we need to be real broken up so he can decided where he is and what he wants. It sucks though because I was planning on us getting back together this month. Its all bad timing I suppose.
Adapting
We were all frighteningly comfortable with the old General Discussion, and by we I mean us slackers that aren't involved with the workshop and just like to post about what we last ate and pointlessly announce our days away. So to see the site all slow and different, a lot of us, myself included, started panicking and bitching.
Props to Monkeywright and Corellion for being optimistic about things. This new site is kind of sexy. There's a few bugs, but the only real genuine problem is the slowness, which is becoming less and less of a problem every few hours, it seems.
It's like a new pair of underwear. At first it's constrictive, but after a while... it becomes a part of you.
Now quityerbitchin and get posting, amateurs.
