Happy Holidays from The Cult!
On behalf of the entire staff of ChuckPalahniuk.net, we want to wish you all a Happy Holidays. We had a great year and we could not have done it without you. We also want to thank Chuck Palahniuk himself, for continuing to write great fiction and attract new fans.
We have some exciting things planned for next year and hope that you're all here to enjoy them. But for the next few days, take a break from the computer and go spend some time with family and friends.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy New Year's and all the rest!
Badass Fetish Model Masuimi Max Models Our Fight Club Shirt!
One of my favorite things about running this website, is realizing, on a continuing basis, just how many people love the writing of Chuck Palahniuk. This stretches across the board from regular everyday readers, college professors, celebrities and yes, even world renown fetish models.
Masuimi Max has been a staple in the fetish photography world for several years now. She's the punk rock Dita Von Teese. The real 'Suicide Girl'. She's done stage shows, been on dozens of magazine covers, and has even had small parts in David Lynch movies. How cool is this chick!?
Well, like most cool people, she's also a fan of Chuck Palahniuk. So when I asked if she wouldn't mind us sending her one of our new 10th Anniversary 'Fight Club' shirts, she not only gobbled up the opportunity, but also agreed to model the shirt for her website IAmTrouble.com. But Masuimi went furtherand included the following blog on her site, forum, MySpace, Facebook and Twitter: read more »

Order Signed Chuck Palahniuk Books For The Holidays - Dec 11th Cut-Off!
Our favorite affiliate, St. Helens Book Shop, is taking orders for signed Chuck Palahniuk books. As you know, St. Helens is a local book store in Oregon that Chuck visits rather frequently. While there, he not only signs all of their inventory, but he also fulfills personal online requests for inscribed messages on each book!
This is currently, the only way I know that fans can get signed books (to them!) from Chuck online. Besides this, you'd have to wait till he was on tour and go see him in person. This is also the perfect Christmas gift for anyone you know that might be a fan.
The bad news is, we got this information a little late, and then I took even later to post it! So the cut-off date to get your orders in, along with your custom, person inscription you'd like Chuck to make, is December 11th!
All of the instructions about how to fulfill your orders and include your personal message you'd like Chuck to inscribe on the book you order, is on the site. So don't wait!

Killing People To Render Their Fat For Soap!?
Does this sound familiar? Luckily, Tyler Durden never spent any time in Peru, so we know he had nothing to do with this. All kidding aside though, this is a ghastly story. I'll let the Huffington Post take over from here:
LIMA, Peru — A gang in the remote Peruvian jungle has been killing people for their fat, police charged Thursday, draining it from their corpses and offering it on the black market for use in cosmetics. Medical experts expressed skepticism that a major market for fat might exist.
Three suspects have confessed to killing five people for their fat, said Col. Jorge Mejia, chief of Peru's anti-kidnapping police. He said the suspects, two of whom were arrested carrying bottles of liquid fat, told police it was worth $60,000 a gallon ($15,000 a liter).
Mejia said the suspects told police the fat was sold to intermediaries in Lima, the Peruvian capital. While police suspect the fat was sold to cosmetic companies in Europe, he could not confirm any sales.
Official Description For "Tell All", Chuck's Next Novel, Now Up On Amazon!
The official description for Tell All, Chuck Palahniuk's upcoming novel (May 3, 2010), is now up on Amazon:
The hyperactive love child of Page Six and Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? caught in a tawdry love triangle with The Fan. Even Kitty Kelly will blush.
Soaked, nay, marinated in the world of vintage Hollywood, Tell-All is a Sunset Boulevard–inflected homage to Old Hollywood when Bette Davis and Joan Crawford ruled the roost; a veritable Tourette’s syndrome of rat-tat-tat name-dropping, from the A-list to the Z-list; and a merciless send-up of Lillian Hellman’s habit of butchering the truth that will have Mary McCarthy cheering from the beyond.
Our Thelma Ritter–ish narrator is Hazie Coogan, who for decades has tended to the outsized needs of Katherine “Miss Kathie” Kenton—veteran of multiple marriages, career comebacks, and cosmetic surgeries. But danger arrives with gentleman caller Webster Carlton Westward III, who worms his way into Miss Kathie’s heart (and boudoir). Hazie discovers that this bounder has already written a celebrity tell-all memoir foretelling Miss Kathie’s death in a forthcoming Lillian Hellman–penned musical extravaganza; as the body count mounts, Hazie must execute a plan to save Katherine Kenton for her fans—and for posterity.
Tell-All is funny, subversive, and fascinatingly clever. It’s wild, it’s wicked, it’s bold-faced—it’s vintage Chuck.
Props to Andy for spotting this and emailing us about it.
Chris Gore Wears Our 'Survivor' T-Shirt On Attack Of The Show's 'DVDuesday' Segment!
Chris Gore has become our new best friend. You may remember that a couple weeks back he decided to review our Chuck Palahniuk documentary DVD "Postcards From The Future", during his 'DVDuesday' segment on G4's 'Attack of the Show.
After we posted about this, Chris then actually joined The Cult and left a comment on the news post. How awesome is this guy? To repay him for the plug, Mirka and I decided to send the dude a care package of ChuckPalahniuk.net goodies. And since Chris had mentioned that Survivor was his favorite Chuck Palahniuk book, we dropped one of our awesome Survivor Tshirts in with the package.
Well, if you watch the video below, where Chris reviews the new Fight Club Blu-ray DVD set, you'll see that he graciously decided to wear the shirt on live TV!
Much love, Chris. That's an awesome site to see. Watch the video below the break! And order yourself one of our snappy Survivor Tshirts here! read more »
